About the project This project aims to search for the "otherness" in your own life by doing research on common phenomenon such as migration from different perspectives. By taking other points of view one learns about one's own cultures as well as others and can find similarities as well as common European roots.
Aims
By participating in "Youth Conferences" twice per year students will be able to come together, form an opinion on current political issues such as migration, minorities and stereotypes and discuss their ideas. They will strengthen their language skills by permanent exchange via internet and personal meetings.
Expected results To implement the results of these conference, the hosting school will together with the teachers participating at the conference, focus on methods to spread the social and educational value of European cultural heritage. This will be done by teaching-proposals on how to teach certain aspects such as migration or electoral systems which can be used in history or social studies lessons. Thus not only your own country’s perspective comes into view, but other European country’s ideals, questions and problems can be focused on on a permanent basis for coming classes.
